The elegantly proportioned stacks of highly polished birch looks, at first glance, like they exist for no other reason than to be admired. Surrounded by greenery, they fit right into a table-top tableau that exuded serenity in a sun-flooded shop.
What were they? Would flipping the switch on an almost completely hidden metal box start the flow of burbling water?
No. It started the music.
Designed to have omnidirectional sound reflection, the Taguchi-Craft Sound Star 15-watt speakers are handmade in Japan, then burnished with a 100 percent environmentally safe coating from Germany. With a footprint that's less than 4 inches square, they fit in small spaces. Although we're partial to the natural birch finish, black and white stains are available. They play beautifully with the company's SM-P1 amplifier.
